Flood waters are receding slowly. these pictures were taken yesterday along B Hwy, Clinton Park and Hwy 60 East in Poplar Bluff.
Obwohl das Wasser langsam zurueck geht, sind immer noch viele Gebiete von Poplar Bluff ueberschwemmt. Unser County ist eines von 70 in Missouri, das zum Notstandsgebiet erklaert wurde.

The Coastguard

is evacuating people.

Can we stand a few more snow pictures?

We didn't get nearly as much snow as predicted.....so what else is new. On friday after work, I drove around a bit to check things out. We had very strong winds, I almost got blown off the road, and it was snowing intermittently. Unfortunatelly, the beauty didn't last very long.....on saturday the sun melted all the snow in spite of the cold temperature.
Leider hatten wir nicht so viel Schnee wie erwartet. Am Freitag nach der Arbeit hab ich eine Erkundungsfahrt im Schnee gemacht.....es war sehr windig ...
Samstags kam die Sonne und hat leider den ganzen schoenen Schnee wieder geschmolzen.....So wie immer.....

Elusive Spring

It was almost here last weekend.... sunshine and 76 degrees....
then Monday afternoon colder.....34 F......
early Tuesday morning .....snow and sleet....
today warmer and sunny....
and another winter storm warning for tonight and/or tomorrow.....
Am Wochenende noch das schoenste Fruehlingswetter...viel Sonne und 26 Grad.....
Montag schon wieder kaelter....2 Grad.....
Dienstag Schnee und Eis.....
Mittwoch.... Sonnenschein und ca 18 Grad.....
fuer heute Nacht , bzw. Donnerstag wieder Schnee und Eis gemeldet....
