This morning

it was snowing quite heavily. I shot a few pictures before going to work and on the way to work.

again this morning. It was pretty while it lasted. By early afternoon everything had melted.

Unsere Strasse....

durch das Weitwinkelobjektiv kann man alle Haeuser auf meiner Strassenseite sehen.....meins ist das 5. von rechts.

Ice and Snow

Minnie is going to her nephew's house because she had no electricity for several days. ( He picked her up from my house ..... her hill was impassable and there were power lines in her street)

Minnie hat keinen Strom und wird deshalb von ihrem Neffen bei mir abgeholt. Ihre Strasse ist nicht befahrbar wegen gerissener Stromleitungen.

The Heat is on

At midnight I had my heat back....the electric company worked on it from 10pm till 12 am. It feels good to be warm again and to have hot water. There are still many people in the area without power. Seit Mitternacht am Sonntag ist's wieder warm im Haus und ich kann heiss duschen. Allerdings haben viele Leute in der Umgebung immer noch keinen Strom.

Last look

at the beautiful "crystal " on the trees. I spent my lunch hour taking pictures ....wanted to capture the beauty before it melted away. About an hour later it was all gone.
Ein letzter Blick noch auf die schoene Kristalllandschaft...Waehrend meiner Mittagspause hab ich noch schnell ein paar Fotos gemacht. Durch einen ploetzlichen Temperaturanstieg war eine Stunde spaeter alles weg .
